have to pull engine out
hey everyone....
I need to pull the engine out of my 94 pontic bonneville....
Was wondering what the best way to go about it was, and how easy it is to do if i got an engine lift.Any good advice will be fine, and useful.....trying to do this the cheapest way possible.....Tranny can come out, but it'* not going with the engine...

i just pulled the motor out of my bonne the other day
are you keeping the car?
if not and you wanna make it fast just start cuttin
cut the fuel lines
radiator hoses
everything but the motor mounts and exhaust those are ez to get at
it took me a hole 45min to pull my motor doing it that way
of course you going to need a picker

Pull the hood and go through the top. Like Gameover said..quick and easy motor only, cut and be done.
If you care about stuff it'll take you a little longer.

No need to pull the tank
Quickest easiest way is w/o tranny. Unless you think you are going to sell it, then pull both together.
Go to the passenger side firewall under the relay center cover and unscrew the bolt in the center of the wiring harness. Flop onto engine. Cut any stragglers going to headlights etc.
Drain coolant and oil out of motor. Cut or unconnect coolant hoses to motor and to firewall and oil cooler lines to radiator.
Disconnect throttle cable from TB
Unbolt all motor mounts and transmission from motor.
Hook up hoist and pull.

tranny was good when i had it running...has just over 147,000 miles on it, ran great when i had it, trans was serviced when i though i blew it.....but it turned out that it was just my front axel that snapped.....soo the trans is good still....
