Paul, leave the accessory bracket on the engine until after you pull it. Don't even bother with it.
Oh and looky, I can see that rear mount. It'* all coming apart now.

Now that it'* ready to come out and after having thought about how I'm going to be able to pull the engine on a sloped gravel driveway, I know I'm taking the hood off.
I was joking about the cam. I'm actually trying to think of a limiter to put on this thing.
How much of the engine do we need to send to the rebuilder :?:

I did that with heads on the Trans Am and they ended up costing about $600 by the time all the valves and springs were replaced.
I meant, do I need to take off the intake manifold, starter, sensors and the front cover, balancer, ect...

Ya, I just phoned the rebuild shop and they don't need the front end or even the flex plate.
They say that the engine is so well balanced that they don't have to balance it after the rebuild, so shouldn't need the harmonic balancer.
I am leaning now towards waiting to ship it out for rebuild until I get back at the end of May. That way I'm here for both the shipping and the return.
It will also give Victor more time to save up cause he knows he won't be driving it until it'* paid for.
Doing most of the work ourselves is saving a bundle and teaching us both a lot about it.
Bill how much SC oil does the M62 hold, exactly by the book. :?:
My old coupler was in perfect shape with only 25 K miles on it. Victor got a deal on that one.

There, the SC is rebuilt and ready for renewed action.
Victor dropped the trani pan this morning......and got a face full of oil He knows what it tastes like now.
There was a hint of colour in it but it look like it hadn't been changed in a while.
And look what was in the pan. What is that thin circular plastic piece from.
I found 3 more pieces inside the filter.
Bill, how much fluid will the trani take to fill :?:
