I've noticed that the grinding is the worst starting off from a stop. And now it'* just as bad as it was before..
I'm really hoping it'* not trans related....

I went to the Bendix Titanium Pads and have never had another issue..
Have the Rotors seated yet? Have the lines been worn off?
In the past I have sanded the pads to break the glaze, as welll as the rotors to do the same to give the pads and rotors a surface so that they can break in again...
Sorry I can't be there to help

I'll check out to see if the rotors seated on the way home.
The grinding reminds me of a wheel bearing but deeper and the grinding happens under different conditions. So I'm sure it'* not that..
I'll try to type the way it sounds.. lol
(Starting at speed) ................................................(* lowing down, applying the brake)............................................ ...............Grind.........Grind.......Grind.... .Grind.....Grind..Griiiind. (Stop)....(Starting to accelerate)Griiind.....Grind......Grind.........Gr ind.........Grind................................. ............................(at speed)
So basially no griding at a constant speed, start to slow down and still no grinding untill I get close to stopping, grinds when close to stopping, stops when the car is stopped, Grinding when I start to accelerate and it goes away when I'm at a constant speed.
Hopefully that isn't too confusing.
Thanks Jr'*. I sure wish I was in FL right now after the advanced thermo test I just took.

i had a problem similar to that a few months ago. the dust shield on the back side of the rotor was grinding on the back of the rotor. but it was really sporadic. it wore off a lot on rotor 1/8-1/16"

I would assume you've tried spinning it by hand. If that doesn't help, I would go to the extreme of putting the fronts in the air and having an extra set of hands operate the car while you listen. Being quite careful of course.... I'd hate to hear you got hit(again), not just by another car, but by your own!
