My tank and new fuel pump are off the car. I'm not going to be able to check for fuel at the schrader valve and fuel rails unless I reconnect everything. I want to avoid reconnecting everything and then discover it may be a defective replacement pump. I didn't get any fuel from the valve on my initial check before dropping the tank. Just a drop after the car sat for a day between performing the same check.
I will recheck for power at the green connector next to the battery. On my initial check before dropping the tank I remeber only checking for resistance. I don't remeber checking voltage.
I'll let you guys know after I'm done.

How about powering the pump since it'* out of the car?
There are spark precautions you'll need to follow..and be wary of..but it is possible to check the pump.
