Wow, you guys are good, thanks for all the posts...doesn't look like I'm in for much fun.

I remember doing this on my Lesabre, I had to cut the straps :? It'* nice job to do in the driveway in the middle of winter :( . I know a couple of guys with shops but I don't really feel like asking to use them because of the leaking fuel etc.

Cheers,

So either I have a leaky steel section of pipe, a leaky fitting or a cracked or split nylon hose.

How much pressure is on the return side?

I don't think anyone besides Wren might ever consider measuring return... I'm stumped

The new bolts you'll want for your straps need to be 3-4 inches long.. tough to get the new straps stretched...

My strap bolts came out fine, and went back in fine, nice and tight. Maybe you'll get lucky too.

Called the dealer for pricing:

Sender: $225 CDN
Straps: $21 and $27 each CDN
Nylon Feed Line: $46 CDN
Nylon Return Line: $43 CDN

($1 CDN = $0.8740 USD)

You have no idea how much salt they use around here . Worse thing is that it has alternated between being above and below freezing on a regular basis, salt and slush is the name of the game this year :(

If I were in this predicament, I would change the pump too. Heck, you're already in that deep....might as well do the preventative maintanence since the pump won't last forever.
