has anybody ever figured out what this might be ? i heard people say tires, rotors, out of balance tires&rims, wheel bearings, tie rods ,Half shafts, even heard it could be lower control arms that cause this ! thing is when i jack car up, No Wheels on it at all ! with lugs back on & tight and run it up to 60 the front end shakes like crazy, Any Idea on this ??? Motor mounts maybe !! thanks tim

Also have a "98 and experience the same. It worse during turns, at the point if feels like the engine is about to stall. I will be cleaning out the TB this weekend since I heard allot of the problems could be related to vacuum leak, etc... Hopefully some can end the mystery of this. Good luck...

If its a tie rod, you can tell simply by jacking up the car with wheels on, grab the tire at 12 and 6 and see if theres any play. Do the same at the 9 and 3 position. If theres any play then theres a good chance it could be that.
If it were Rotors, you would feel the brake pulse as you pressed on them. Depending on the thickness, you could have them cut for 8-10 bux apiece.
wheel bearings, you will notice a hum or rubbing sound as your driving. I believe the Bearing and hub are one peice and can get upwards of a hundred bucks.
The other things I dont know about. Do a visual lookover and see if you notice anything corroded or loose.
The gearheads will chime in soon and be able to help you out.
