I don't even really know what a port and polish is or entails lol. Cars make me feel like such a newb >_<!
I want to do a fuel pressure test, but i don't have the piece or the knowledge to do it . Here is the knowledge, and i could get the piece from dads work, but getting them together in the same situation is proving difficult.
I still thinks its a sensor or a vac leak or something. My car in OD on the highway doing 120km is at like 2200 rpm, it hits a hill, and 9 times out of 10 it starts kickin around, and acting a fool.
Picture an unhealthy guy riding a mountain bike down a flat road. Then he hits a big hill, and doesn't downshift until he reaches the top. That'* my car.
I'm not sure its my fuel pressure, cause when the car goes, it GOES! The engine is lacking power, just not always . I think that'* why it acts up on hills, it doesn't have the power it needs to handle the job.

Basically a port and polish is where you grind down the openings in the LIM to match the gaskets, then polish the insides afterwards to give the air a nice smooth channel to go through.
One thing you can try to see if you have a vacuum leak is to spray carb/throttle cleaner around all your vacuum ports and connections and see if the cleaner gets sucked into the engine, you'll notice if it does then the engine will stall or act like it wants to.
The way you describe your car running up a hill is the same way mine acted when my coil went out, on the straight away it ran like a champ but on even the slightest hill the car would kick around. Above you mentioned you only tested the tops of the coils, pop them out and test the bottom, and make sure you put some dieelectric grease on all the connectors before you put them back on.
It very well could be a bad sensor, when the car starts kicking around, does it throw a Check Engine light?

Ok,
I made it to the Pontiac dealer, and they scanned it. I was blown away it worked. This car has me used to disappointment.
It popped 3 codes. One was a cruise control vent issue. One was the park neutral switch P1520.
The 3rd was a discrete transmission range failure. He meant to give me the code for the range failure, but apparently gave me the neutral switch code. So long story short, I do not have the range failure code. :(
I have looked into the Haynes manual, and cannot find what this might be attributed to. Any info as to what part/whatever causes this, where it is, and how to or if its fixable would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
