No the plug is fine. I even blew it out to make sure nothing in it was connecting that pin to ground. I am guessing a short inside the case also. I am wondering if a bad solenoid could cause this pin to ground out. Just trying to dig up a wiring schematic of the tranny.

Yes, the trans needs to be lowered to get that side cover off...
hold on...I'm looking at the schematics now...

okay I found one problem. Near the transmission the round plug with 7 contacts. It had 3 wires melted together one black two brown. One of the brown is from 5C. Fixed that. Now I get now grounded contacts at the relays if the transmission is unplugged. If I plug in the transmission the relays find ground on pin 85 again. What does this connector plug into on the transmission?
There are 3 different models listed below. Not sure what which one you have until you give me the model # off the metal tag.

Tag is on the back side of the trans by tye diff housing. I'd test the wires with a multimeter...but in the end it looks like the trans is coming out.

With the harness unpluggged, none of the transmission side pins should go to ground. There should be continuity from A to E, B to E, C to E and D to E. As far as pins F and G, that is a separately powered circuit and would blow a different fuse. I guess I am assuming that fuse 5C (10A) is blowing in the inst panel fuse block. If you have 3 pins going to case ground, then there is probably a wiring harness rubbed through inside the case- not a fun repair on one of those.
I have not checked the tag yet. Its wet outside and I am not ready to go lay on the ground under the car to see the tag yet lol

So I am pretty sure that I have a wiring problem in the transmission. I get ground to case on pins A, B, C, D and E. So I guess this means I have to drop the tranny to fix this?
