Being a 93 if VATS is tripped the starter will not try to turn over.

You can test this by viewing the dashboard lights and seeing what the security light does. Another test is checking for power at the stater soleniod when the key it turned to the start position.

i tried both my keys no luck. when i try to turn the key the security light on the dashboard [ yellow] turns on but then goes away,

FYI my second key was broken, the center part fell out, i super glued it back in, thats the one that reads 9.37

Both keys should read the same. Might want to consider doing the VATs bypass. It only going to cost you a few resisters and some time.

Sounds like it probably is from the light indications you mention. Check for 12V+ at the soleniod wire at the starter, that will tell you w/o any doubts.

well finally got thins worked out and it was the starter, buoght a second new one put it in and everything worked fine. yay thanks for help all!
