Engine & trans swap...
Just out of curiosity... What would it all take to take a 95 SSEi drivetrain, and put it into a 92 SSEi? My current 95 SSEi is far too rusty to work on, but it has a rebuilt engine, and needs a trans rebuild. I might be able to pick up a 92 SSEi for $500 or so, and was thinking about doing a rebuild on my 95 trans, and doing a complete powertrain swap...
And second, will and 4T60-E from a 92 work in a 95?

You will need the PCM from the 95 as well. Your 92 will have major ****-fits with the different TB/MAF/SC combination. Your shift points in the 92 also will not suit the 95 engine very well.

Ok, so, what kind of issues might I run into by doing a complete engine and trans swap into a 92... its the PCM a direct plug in or no? How much of a difference is the wiring harness'? Minimal or quite a bit? I'm sure the mounting is the same and what not... Would it just be a better idea to just strip out the 92 wiring and computer systems and put in the 95? I'm just trying to decide if this is a route I want to take or not....
