The compressor pump is on the driver side, in the very front corner right behind the headlight, between the coolant bottle and the air filter box.

Look in your rear wheelwells at the rear struts. Do you have air lines attached?
Look at your right rear lower control arm from the rear of the car. Do you have a little shaft with universal joints (ball joints) on the ends, going to a little black box? If so, load up the back of the car with some serious weight. Make it squat. If it doesn't kick on th pump, your ELC isn't working. Check fuse #12. Should be a 20amp.

I am curious, the 97 SSE I had before load level didn't work unless the key was on, the 93 I have now works for no reason at all sometimes, I mean the car can sit still, no one around it on level ground and still the damn thing buzz. Why? I am like this thing is a ghost. White car, go figure, LOL!!!!

It is in mine. In the manual it says "Fuse: 12 ____Not Used"
