The compressor pump is on the driver side, in the very front corner right behind the headlight, between the coolant bottle and the air filter box.

Mine will run without the key. Sometimes I will hear it run when a bunch of people hop in the car. But otherwise, very seldom.

Look in your rear wheelwells at the rear struts. Do you have air lines attached?

Look at your right rear lower control arm from the rear of the car. Do you have a little shaft with universal joints (ball joints) on the ends, going to a little black box? If so, load up the back of the car with some serious weight. Make it squat. If it doesn't kick on th pump, your ELC isn't working. Check fuse #12. Should be a 20amp.

can you just disconnect the power leads to see if that'* the problem overnight?

I am curious, the 97 SSE I had before load level didn't work unless the key was on, the 93 I have now works for no reason at all sometimes, I mean the car can sit still, no one around it on level ground and still the damn thing buzz. Why? I am like this thing is a ghost. White car, go figure, LOL!!!!

You have a leak in your system - that'* why it starts up randomly.

Are the fuses for a 95 different then? Thought it was fuse 9B (20 AMP) for the ELC.

It is in mine. In the manual it says "Fuse: 12 ____Not Used"
