EGR swap compatibility question for all gurus
94 sse
acdelco calls for a 214-5007
http://198.208.187.182/internet/Vehi...sel=A&pageno=1
I have a 214-5067 that is from a 95-96 gm
http://198.208.187.182/internet/Vehi...sel=A&pageno=4
both numbers state application for various years of * Engine VIN 1
are these two parts interchangeable?

Series I to Series II. I know the EGR valve location changed, but what else, I don't know.
I do know that a 92 vin 1 and 93 vin L are swappable, digital units with different part numbers. Doesn't help you much, though. Other than the fact that just because the part numbers aren't the same, they might still swap.

thanks for the reply.
the two parts look identical cosmetically.
I have already removed and attempted to clean the stock EGR bu tI still get pintle position codes. Scan reading shows the the call on the EGR fluctuating with throttle/rpm position and also shows a lag and intermittent fluctuation in the EGR response relative to that call.
The car is not fun to drive in this case.
under accel and de-accel the car is fine...at cruise speeds (throttle tip-in) the car is in constant erratic engine miss state.
