dosen't matter on fuel filter, I just got a decent one from NAPA. Don't know about the PCV Valve...

I think the safe bet on the PCV is AC Delco. I don't know about aftermarket PCVs on the 3800, but some other GM engines (LT1s and Saturns are two that I know of) don't like the aftermarket PCVs. On the fuel filter, I think you're OK with most. I've used both Fram and Wix with no problems.

I've never gotten specific AC Delco PCV valves, just whatever is in the aisle at the parts stores (Puralator I believe is one I've used). I haven't had problems with any, though I myself don't know if I would trace a problem to a PCV.
