I'm probably going to have to anyway, I'll guarantee he won't use synthetic like I asked him to.

On the first 2 oil changes in my new motor..I didn't bother with synthetic.

Started it..ran for 10 minutes and dumped the oil and filter.
Filled it with fresh filter...
Started it..ran for 20 minutes and dumped it.
Filled with fresh
Ran about 200 miles..
Then it got synthetic.

Only difference is I did internal work therefore I needed that extra oil change.

No good anymore. An 81yo man decided to pull out in front of me ONE MILE from the ******* shop. Car is screwed.
This is the THIRD senior to either hit my car when it was parked, or pull out from a stop sign in front of me.
All I got to see was 1lb of boost......
Well, here'* the insanely depressing photo'*......

Before:

After:

I'm ok, neck is getting stiff, got a baseball sized burn on my right wrist, and my pinky is a little swollen, but I'm ok otherwise. Obviously pissed beyond belief, but I'm ok.

WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dude!!! This sucks! I was hoping to see that car on the road again.
Did you have insurance? How about him?
That definitely is going to be totalled by the insurance. Make sure you get a receipt for the engine/swap to give insurance for expenses on top of the car and be sure to let them know you just picked it up from the shop.
If you get some good change from ins.... I got a 99 I might be willing to let go.

Well, it was on the road for about a mile.....
Both of us had insurance, but this bastard couldn't even fill his own paperwork out, the officer had to do it for him, why he was allowed to drive is beyond me...
I wan't my MT '96 though...... But I might take you up on that. We'll see what happens with insurance.

Don't, I repeat DO NOT take the first offer from insurance.
Get ahold of me sometime or I'll call you before Monday and I'll give you some tips for dealing with the insurance adjuster or whoever is making the offers.

Start out by going on different web sites and getting ballpark prices (the HIGH ones) for other 96-97 SSEi'*, making note that your car was very well cared for so it is not a low book despite the miles (note to them that the new engine has under 100k).
Also, go to KBB.com, NADA.com and get retail value.
I have seen your car in person when it was detailed and I know it was probably one of the nicest on the road until now. :(

Anyhow, I'll call you when I get home from work if I get a couple minutes (I work all weekend, brother is home from Washington DC, have nieces BD on Saturday and my oldest nieces Graduation Party is Sunday -I have to miss these because of work -GRRR, but I do intend to stop in at their homes in St. Rosa and St. Martin and give them their gifts so they know I didn't just forget).

Wow. That is just unbelievable.

I am continually convinced that senior citizens need rigorous testing on their driving skills every 3 months. If you can no longer operate a 2-ton vehicle safely, REVOKE! And learn to take a bus/cab.

Thank you, I say the same, but throw on one of those yellow rotating lights on the roof like school buses have.

Here'* the scoop as of today. His insurance company is LOW BALLING the crap out of me, they had me e-mail pictures of my car because they couldn't get an agent out to look at it any time soon, so "by the pictures" it'* only worth $3,800 plus tax and licensing!!!! Are the nuts!? This car books at $4,625 on N.A.D.A for average ratail. And having a newer motor put in and new tires on the rear and 75% up front At the same time, I probably could have sold it for $5,000.
My insurance is offering $5,300 minus the deductible.........
I have two choices: Battle it out with the douchebags and see if I can get what I should, or take what my insurance company is offering and hope they can negotiate with the other company to get there money back so it doesn't go on my insurance.
You all should see the GTP I'm hoping to get out of this.....

3.4" pulley, intake, new after market ecu, full exhaust (3" dp back) which sounds AMAZING, full suspension, slight tint, interior looks brand new. (not even kidding, I won't smoke in it, nor will anyone)

Here'* some pictures of the GTP.

This car is sooooo clean.

$3800?? That sounds like they are forgetting the SSEi part.

In NY if you have collision then your insurace pays you and they collect from the other insurance. I take it thats not how it works where you are then. Thats sucks.
