Felt good!!......besides hitting the brakes at a "high speed" to avoid traffic.
Definitely not locking up and no burning brake smell. Brakes/calipers and rims felt normal when I got home. Not hot. So far so good. But it doesn't happen too often that they overheat or do what they did this morning. The trip to your house after work was normal too. So a couple days commuting to work will test them better. I have good feelings about it though)

I figured I'd update if anyone has similar problems.
The brake hoses as stated above, were replaced last Tues. I drove home afterwards and had no issues. However, on the commute to work the next AM, I had the same issues.
I figured it had to be the caliper itself. That night I got one, changed it out in a few minutes, went for a good 40-minute test drive. Even after being heavy on the brakes, I never had any issues. Ever since Wednesday night things have seemed great. No issues at all!
The hoses are $30 for BOTH at Advance. Cheaper than calipers and harder to replace, but should be done first (if you're thinking economically) since the hoses can be bad without external symptoms.

I had the same issue on the passenger side, the rim would get so hot I could burn my hand touching it, I replaced both calipers and the issue was gone, hopefully you problem was just the lines

My rim got just as hot Chris, and don't even ask about the caliper... ! I wish I tested the temperature. It was like touching the exhaust manifolds. You could SMELL the burning heat, and spraying the wheel off resulted in a massive smoke/steam cloud. I literally could have cooked an egg on my rotor, not even lying.

Spraying off the wheel sounds like rotor warping time! I always wonder how many rotors get warped from car washes where someone pulls in with everything hot from braking and starts spraying water on the at a do-it-yourself.

BTW, how often can rotors warp from spraying them with water? I'm not denying it can warp them, but because they are so thick, I wonder how much affect water has on them alone.

this is good info.
I had the smoke comming from the wheel just recently. At first glance i thought the engine had overheated, but everything was OK.
I replaced calippers last year with cheapo rebuilt ones- i think these ones have let go also.
thanks for the info.

I'm careful about hoses and carwashes-the spray yourself kinds. I replaced 98 leSabre rotors because of draggin caliper at 40K roughly. Only now have slight feel at 140K. Best of Raybestos. I think Sears did it to me this tijme. Last visit to Sears. They snapped a lug that they had cross-threaded earlier. Long story.
