That sounds like a good idea using 9005'* in your fog lights, toddster. Now you got me thinking I might like to do that mod. The plastic lenses are holding up with the added heat? So long as they are aimed so as not to blind oncoming traffic.

I thought the 9005s would of totally melted my lenses also but for as long as I have had them in now I've had no signs of plastic melt down. THe wiring stays cool to. Just make shur if you do that mod you figure on shuting them off if you get stuck in trafic for any length of time. I turn mine off if I'm stuck for longer than 5 minutes. City driving, no problem they stay cool enough. And yes I did make shur to aim them low enough to not blind other cars.-Toddster

About the wiring, what you want to do is go down to your local Walmart(if your not a walmart hater) in the automotive light bulb section they have 9005 and 9006 replacement wiring harnesses, why I don't know. Then what you have to do is pick up some cheap 880s so you can cut the bulbs off the pig tail part of the socket, so your left with the socket and the two steel prongs where you cut the bulb off. Then all you have to do is connect them to together, the 9005 wiring harness from walmart and the cut off fog light socket. This way you do not have to cut into your factory wiring, you just plug the adapter you made in to complete to connection from your car to your new cool looking silverstar lights. -Toddster
