Ok here is an update.
GM did their scan and came up with nothing, they are saying its an internal engine problem. They wanted 8 hr labour at 90 bux an hour, my dad would have none of that just to find out what it might be. So he took it back to the place he bought it from and they got another new mechanic guy to check the car over. They descided on scrapping the motor and drop in a used one or get a rebuilt one. We will know what its gonna be tomorrow by 5 pm hopefull. I will talk to the boss taking care of ot and report back .
A nice rebuilt engine would be nice, i know an engine builder here who charger 1800 CAd for a rebuilt engine. He is a big engine rebuilding place here who is pretty reputable.
The rebuilt engine would be a really nice bonus after all this hassle.
Then finally i can get my buddy to make a nice custom 3.5" stainless CAI and go from there .
Cheers

Ok so dad had enough and asked for his money back. They wanted to put another used engine in the car and my dad said forget it. Deal originaly was a rebuilt engine from a guy i know but that didnt happen. So my dad said it'* been too much hassle and trouble so far and he is not taking a risk on time to come. So he is getting his money back this Thursday and the hunt for another "new" car is on.
He really likes these Bonnies and he was looking at a one owner 94 with 82 000 kms thats like 50 000 original miles. White fully loaded, gray interior, sunroof, HUD etc etc. They are asking 8000 CAD, roughly $ 6000 U.* . Car is is in minter then mint shape in and out. If not that then im pushing him towards a 02+ Sonata or 02 Altima/Maxima . He could get the newer cars but he just likes these older Bonnies so much. Maybe i can get him hooked on like a 99 or 00 ssei.
Any difference between the 94 and 95 SSEI'*? Same 240 hp but isnt the 95 a different engine? Also the heater controls on the 94 don't allow the heat to come center vents like in a 92 and the 95 does.
So this is it in a nut shell.

It'* still the Series I engine in 94/95. It had 20 more hp than 92/93 because of slight SC redisign and computer and such. In 96, the Series II SC engine came out with the M90 SC and many other upgrades that brought it up to 240 hp.
