coolant in TB
i just took off my throttle body and i had coolant in it..is that normal i know its probably a dumb question but i just wasnt expecting that...kinda took me but surprise it looks like there a coolant port for it but i just want to make sure first.

i dont think there was there was just some at the bottom of the tb...i just wanted to make sure that there was a coolant line there.

i just had to take my TB back off cause i put the tps on wrong and i did have coolant in my air way (where the air from the air box to the */c it was in the */c) now what does that mean? maybe a bad TB gasket?

yes it started right up it just idles a little higher but it comes back down after a few seconds... Im thinkin maybe a lower intake or */c gasket...

when i put it back on i put rtv around the gasket just enough to seal better but not to much were it will interfere with flow. when i do my */c coupler ill find out if it is still leaking.

If it'* leaking..you'll be burning coolant.
Did you clean the gasket surfaces well before reinstalling the new gasket?
On the RTV, I used to use it on everything that looked like it could use a dab. Over the years and working with my mechanic buddy I learned that adding RTV to anything is adding another cleaning from he ll in the future. The factory assembled many gaskets dry and they work 100% for years. You can do the same unless the directions specifically call for RTV. To make your job cheaper and easier.. don't use RTV if it didn't exist there to begin with.

im not sure if im burning coolant cause im leakin it form my water pump so i wont know if im burnig any till i do mt water pump i dont smell any buring... also with the RTV thats good to know i think im gonna stop puttin iton every thing....
