ok, after much research, I bought the Monroe Reflex struts. Got them for $81 each off the web, free shipping.

My mechanic is going to install them for $110 per side.
He advised against the Monroe, said they were not reliable and wouldnt last. He recommended Gabriel shocks (probably as he had the Gabriels in stock and couldnt get the Monroe'*). Well, I didnt believe him and ordered the Monroes.
I'll let you know how they perform!

Good thing you got the Monroes...
I had Gabriels and they sucked from day one.... Heck, even sears quit carrying them and went to Monroes... The Gabrielles were junk... I will never purchase another set, ever....
