lets say a basic tranny fix costs $1-2000. If you got an $80 flush every year, you could have 12-25 flushes with that money. Sounds like a good investment to me, especially what with how long our engines last, the tranny is the weakest link in the system.

Well I checked my tranny fluid today when it was hot (or warm) and the color is fine...reddish color...not the slightest bit dark. But I'm a maintenance freak when it comes to changing oil...so I think next time I change the oil..in 2 months or less..I'll have the tranny fluid changed also. Thanks for the advice Jr and everyone else.

BTW. Anyone ever thought of changing out that magnet? I have a couple of magnets I pulled from an old hard drive. Powerful little suckers! Think this would be a good or bad idea as thew stock magnet seems pretty weak to me.

jr's3800, Had a tranny flush done this morning. It must have done the trick because I no longer have the surge or "bogging down" when it goes into overdrive between 45-50 mph. The sensation now is one smooth shift. I tried various loads at those speeds and all the shifts are nice and smooth. I guess I didn't have any large chunks are they would have said something. I guess prevention is the best medicine.

jr'3800, Yeah. A guy pulled in right after me in a 93 white se in pretty bad shape. Rust all around the bottom, paint fading, ect. He asked me how I kept my car in such good shape. All I said was, TLC.

I think it is the orginal paint. Guess the origional owner took good care of it. I had a 92 Ols Cutlass that I had for a year before I traded it on the Bonnie. The cutlass was in pretty bad shape. Rust all along the bottom and it had 148,000 mi on it before I traded. It ran good but the Bonne caught my eye.

Yeah. I got the 92 Olds when my lease ran out on Aurora. I just couldn't justify getting into another lease since I am on a medical leave of absence from flying. The FAA requires a three year observation period before I can return to my flying duties. Have another year and a half to go unless something drastic changes. So far I am well satisfied with the Bonne I got.
