I don't think there'* a tech info article on how to test voltages. However, the Chilton manual does a great job of explaining it. Typically a mis-aligned TPS will throw a check engine light. Fortunately, for you (being a 92), you can adjust it quite easily.
Also, check AutoZone for that throttle body gasket. They had them in stock for the 92 SSEi and 93 SE I previously owned.

I gaurantee that you will need at LEAST Chilton'* #28200 to tackle this job properly. You'll also need a digital or analog voltmeter, or a scantool. Scantool preferred.

BTW, last time I checked the Chilton'* was about $15.
EDIT:
This manual is the bare basics that every member that owns this generation of Bville should own. If you have a socket set and two screwdrivers, this is the next tool, at a bare minimum. It clearly details the procedure. As well as tons of other information you're going to need sooner or later.
This Forum is a great help tool, but when it comes to procedures like this, $15 out of your pocket is much more reasonable than having another member look the information up and post it. Scanning the pages and posting them here is a violation of copyright.
