The crank sensor controls both the spark timing & when the injectors fire. The crank sensor has to work for the engine to start. Definitely has to work. Whoever said that must have been thinking of the cam sensor. Advance & I believe Autozone will loan you the puller. Make sure you use 6mm bolts with the puller.

I'm leaning on the cam sensor. It'* awfully close to the waterpump.... I understand what you guys are saying, but the computer needs to know where the cam is so it can schedule the injector pulse. Considering it is an after market cam. I'm sure I'm wrong, but that'* my grounds of reasoning.

Even if it tore the wire off the cam sensor it would still start and run..
The Crank sensor is another story

Well i pulled the sensor that is right next to the HB (towards the front of the car). I believe that is the cam sensor and it did the same thing.
I have a theory. The bolt on the power steering pump broke off and got wedged in the hole on the power steering pump, causing the belt to break and get stuck in the HB, causing the vanes to probably bend and took the crank sensor out. I told this theory to my cousin (owns a repair shop) and he totally agreed with it. I dunno, just what it seems to be. So thursday when i get paid i am going to pick up a HB puller (went and looked tonight and they are about 20 bucks plus the bolts i need, so like 25 dollars) and take it off this weekend. I will post pics of that and you guys can tell me if it is ok. I will also switch the crannk sensor.
I am thinking the rattling of the pump agaisnt the motor MAY be the cause of the knock but i may be wrong.

The plug for the crank sensor is directly in front of the crank/balancer. Sounds like that'* the plug you just pulled.
The cam sensor is up higher, more in line with the camshaft. Also it'* toward the rear, not the front, if memory serves...
To clarify, the crank sensor is only partly behind the balancer, but it'* not able to be removed without first removing the balancer. You can make sure there'* voltage at the connection though before ripping into things. I nearly pulled a crank sensor myself a few weeks back, but on a whim, I checked for the correct voltage to the sensor, and it wasn't there. Turned out to be a bad ICM ground. That'* probably not your issue here, but it still might be worth checking for power to the sensor first.

To add onto that.. Your other electrical things not working until you plug things into the lighter..that'* completing a circuit. Most likely you have a bad fuse or ground somewhere.

That makes sense. I am going to go over the fuses and grounds. It has been doing it since we did the cam install (atleast i believe it has, i havent really had the scan tool off too much but whenever i did the radio had no power).
