Default Car acting up.... i'm puzzled!

so i've been driving my car for a couple of years now without a glitch. On my way home today the car started to act funny, the rpm'* starting rise and drop and the more gas i gave it the more it bogged down until it completely stalled. i fired it up after about 30 seconds and it ran fine until couple of miles down the road when it started to act up again so i shut it off, waited for a minute and off i went again. I repeated this over and over until i eventually made it home. i thought it my be a plugged fuel filter but that wasn't it, checked all the vacuum lines and they were all fine. The only other thing that i could come up with is the cat. When i shake it, it sounds like the core is in a million pieces but then why does it run fine for the first few minutes if the exhaust is obstructed??? i had lots of gas, all fluids are full and it didn't overheat blah, blah, blah... any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

Do you have any check engine lights? Possible MAP sensor.

Test your fuel pressure then. Have you changed the fuel filter?

95s are known to have PCM problems. Changing them out corrects that problem

How does a map sensor cause stalling?

Changing a pcm in a 94/95 corrects which exact problem? I'm not trying to badger you Dan, but trying to clarify this for me as well as the OP.

My wifes van did the same thing and it was the MAP sensor. I also said possible. Also said PCM in a latter post.

i have a new fuel filter, i pulled the fuel line off of it and the pressure was almost non existent so i'm going to start with the fuel pump as i'm sure it'* never been replaced in it'* 260,000 km'* and it'* only $80... I'll let you know how it goes, thanks for the input.
