Well finally got the car home, I am going to make a nice one out of the 2, basically going to strip my 93 and transfer everything I can save off the old 97 to it, including vins and all so basically I will have a 97 instead of a 93 since the shells are identical. I'll let you guys know how it goes.
Now I also have to decide what color to paint the car, since the 97 is a silver gray and the 93 is white. Might as well have it painted when its stripped bare.

personally, I would leave the 93 VIN. If you are in an emissions state, you can do more with an OBD1 VIN'ed car than an OBD2. You'll still have all the benefits of the OBD2 motor/PCM, but none of the hassel.

Well here'* my parts car. It did look better, but I got a little crazy with the sawzall and ya....
Runs great and even has a after market pulley on the supercharger. Believe it or not but I drove the car around the block like this, wasn't a good idea but I wanted to make sure the tranny worked good, which it does. Seems like a good deal for $600.
I plan on swapping everything over as it has the performance suspension, the better electronic climate control, etc...
Since the front on this car was messed up I am going to have to leave the stock 93 front intack and the rest of the car will look like a 97.
Only parts I need that were broken is a airbox and washer tank.

personally, I would take the motor/tranny/suspensin(maybe) and interior out of this one, transplant them into the other one and call it a day. No need to change the body cladding and bumpers if you don't have the front end (fenders, lights, grill and bumper are different) If you want to update it a little, I would swap the trunk lid and tail lights. I did this on my 93, and there should be pictures in Your Ride if you want to see how it looks.
