So, if I were to only use the bottom end of a NA engine and used my pistons, rods, heads and the rest of my top end, then this should work in theory? THe compression should be the same since it seems that the piston heads are what changes it. My mechanic says that it will work. If I do go this route, then I will get pictures of both piston heads when he takes it apart.

We still just looking at pictures and what we remember. I think the biggest issue can be the rods. If the rods are the same, then you can throw as much boost at it as an L67 really.
Frankly an L67 or longblock etc would be an easy and cheap find. About 300 bux if you shop right. Takes the guesswork out, until we get this taken care of.

That'* my intention is to look around for a nice L67 block or even whole low mileage engine. It is my father, who has the car currently at the shop, who is pushing to get it done. Personally... I'd rather wait and spend my time and money looking into a northstar swap.

I'd love to see them side by side too. You're right, the */C injectors are not in the heads, they're in the lower intake. I had a small chance to compare heads while looking into the Australian market. A guy there posted pictures for me so I compared them side by side to mine and they matched in every way. Of course I couldn't tell off-mark things from .0001" though I'll post the pictures and you can have a gander:
Neat info on these heads. This guy paid nearly 2 grand to have the valve guides sealed and redrilled so he could put larger valves in it...they get pretty wild with Series I down there
