ok i talked to a guy who works at a local dealership about this... and he says that it is caused by the way the air travels through the airbox

it'* a potnetially dangerous condition which may cause total car failure. better to sell your car (right now) (to me) (for cheap) than to worry about it...

Hmm.. that'* strange, my whole air filter looks like that little black spot.. is that normal? Or is that just how the air flows? Seriously, I think my whole air filter looks like that little black spot.
