So after you ground down the top of the rivets they pushed out? How easily do they come out? The plate seems like it would still be somewhat fused to the control arm. I just want to get these rivets out!

I never took my control arms off the car, but, what I did was take the sawsall blade and start and the top of the balljoint and pull towards yourself and just start cutting away.....Using the control arm as a guide.
A few min later, you've got the ball joint off, and all you have to do it pound out the rivots, and then whatever'* left there pretty much comes off.

I found his sawzall downstairs but no blade is in it. I'll have to wait until he comes home tomorrow. Do you think I could cut right BETWEEN the b-joint'* plate and the control arm? Or should I just try and cut the top of the rivets off?
