Ya know Geoff the darndest thing keeps happening. Everytime I need a part for my 97 drivetrain...I seem to find one for free...close by.

I still can't figure it out.

Need no, should put on, yes! The basis of the quote is let'* do it right and not worry about what caused it last time.

I changed a motor w/Dan....unknown reason for blowing, except he kept getting it hot. He had changed radiator and t-stat and other stuff...motor blew anyway.

Trying to save the guy money we reused the water pump.

As we are filling it up with oil and water something is dripping..ok pouring out. After exchanging looks of "what did you forget to tighten" we looked under and followed the leak. The waterpump was so gone the water was pouring out of the weep hole.

Moral of story: Steve....change the water pump. Fresh waterpump for a fresh motor.

It is a should do in this case. We really don't know what caused the problems.
