About that IAC what does that stand for and does anybody know exactly where it is on the throttle body

The Idle Air Controller is located on the opposite side from the throttle linkage. On the TB there are 3 sensors, MAF, IAC, and TPS.



The MAF is in the lower right corner of the pic with A B C on it. The TPS can be seen under the dental mirror. Just above the TPS is where the IAC lives. It is removed in this pic and the mirror shows the hole that it installs into.

The screws are at a tough angle. Some might suggest that you remove the entire TB and give it a good overall cleaning.

Absolutely. Remove the TB and go through it all.

For the record, the IAC is not a sensor. It'* an actuator. Not a solonoid either, as rotary motion of the motor extends or retracts the shaft in small increments necessary to meter the air and maintain idle speed.

Ya that tool would probably help because I was just out there trying to the damm thing of an would work maybe i should waited to see what you guys said first lol . Would taking of the thermostat housing help to get at it because i need a new thermostat anyways.Instead of taking of the hole TB for right now untill i can get her it to my friends garage.

Not a bad idea I suppose. I did things twice. First I removed, cleaned and reinstalled the IAC itself and the inside the hole. It didn't really improve things. Then I removed the whole TB and cleaned all of the filth (where was lots too) and reinstalled. This was much better. So basically I wasted time by first removing the IAC only.

try checking for vacuum leaks also, check your connections for any cracked or broken lines and replace as needed. Mine was doing the same thing yours was, and I just replaced to vacuum fittings today and now it idles like a champ.

Where were you Vacuum leaks that you fixed. I will check to see if I have any brokin lines And thanks for the advice

one was from the box on top of the supercharger going to underneath the brake booster(to the accessories)

and the other was to the charcoal canister which was underneath the washer fluid tank... probably why i missed it before, you cant see it that well without pulling it out.
