air compressor won't operate
it has never worked sinse i got the car. this weekend i replaced the compressor itself and the contactor in the trunk.the power to the motor turns on and off now but it doesn't operate.
there was a fire before i bought the car that melted the compressor lines so there is no air pressure. would this cause it not operate?

Does the air compressor under the hood cycle on and off?
If the air lines were melted inside the car, or under the car going to each rear strut, yes, you will need to replace them, either from a parts yard car..or I do belive a dealer can get them in for you. Good way to test if the rear shocks air up is, with no wieght in your trunk, reach un and unplug the little two pronged connection on the sensor itself, then press the on button on your accessory panel in the trunk, the rear end should raise up, as this tricks the system into sending air to the rear shocks versus to the air connecton on the panel itself.

the compressor doesn't even seem to cycle. the lines to the back are all melted so i will have to rob them off my parts car. what does the silonoid in the compressor do? it doesn't seem to have any power sent to it when i turn the system on.
