AC clutch leaking oil?
I did a search and did not find anything on this subject. I have what looks like oil leaking out of the AC clutch on my "95 88. Compressor/clutch makes no noise when operating and the AC is working very well (thanks to help from this site, I pulled the door acutator out, cleaned and lubed, workin great). It does not leave a puddle but I noticed the wetness surrounding the clutch. I have a long road trip planned andI don't want the AC dieing while on the road.

There is no oil that can leak out of the clutch itself, unless someone "oiled" the clutch (unlikely). You need to clean things down there carefully and then go back and find out if that is oil from your compressor or from somewhere else on your engine.
With a '95, I would frankly be surprised if it wasn't your compressor seals beginning to go.
That having been said, if it is not noticeably affecting your A/C now, you MAY be OK for a while, but you will have to address it eventually.

Thanks. I didn't think there would be any oil in the clutch. I will clean it up with some brake cleaner and see if I can spot where it is coming from.

Its most likely the shaft seal on the compressor... My 91 usues almost the same compressor... I have had it leaking a little bit of oil for 3 or 4 years.... I just give it an oil charge and give it a shot of 134( yes I swapped it 7 years ago )... Thing is still going...
