97 Bonne SSEi HVAC actuator
Hello. I'm looking for the correct PN for the actuator motor that controls the heat/AC door. We ordered AC Delco PN 15-71835 and it looks just like the one that came out but will not work. The electrical leads are different. Does anyone know what the PN for a 97 SSEi would be? And the best place to get one (besides the dealer)?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I did an air-mix actuator motor on a '97 SSEi a few years ago. When I checked with the dealer then, the GM part no. for the little motor was 16141822 and GM was asking $73 for it. I could not swear the part no. is correct, because I got one from a junkyard for mine. I noticed at the junkyard, BTW, that actuator motors are used for both the manual and electronic systems, the only apparent difference that the electronic variety has more leads for feedback to the controller.
I checked this part no. on gmpartsdirect and it did bring up "actuator" for $54.

From a post awhile back on here, my original part # on my old actuator was 1614822. Back at that time, when entering that part number into http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/, it retruned a part called "Actatuor" but did not have a picture. I just tried it again and it returns nothing :? Also, in some posts, there was some discussion that although the parts for the manual and automatic HVAC systems looked the same, they had different numbers and there was a difference in the "pins" in the electrical connector. Maybe you ended up with the incorrect one?
Here is a pretty good write-up about the pins and connectors
