Well, here'* the deal now. It'* gotten WAY worse. Driving the car to Crystal is WAY out of the question now. Changed the oil and */C oil, didn't get as far as plugs and fuel filter yet, but now the car will not run past 1500 r'* AT ALL. I hooked up a scan tool that I borrowed from a friend, drove about 6 miles, the SES light comes on, but it keeps telling me there'* no codes? I wonder if the ECM'* goin on me??? I can pick one up at work for pretty cheap so I'm not worried if that'* junk. Just wierd on how this all starts out of the blue within minuetes and less than 2 miles. Did a live capture of the systems and nothing shows out of the ordinary. There are so many places to start for this that I don't have a clue where to even begin. Is there anybody like way closer than crystal that can scan? I almost can't even make it up a hill. fantastic88, I live about 3 miles away from the high school in the neighborhood next to dodd and cedar. So not far from you.....You got a good quality scanner?? SSEi95 if you would be willing to come down from Crystal I could pay you, for you time or fuel or whatever, that'* not a problem. The only stored code in the ECM is IAT sensor, which I knew about because it'* been unplugged since I got the car and when I do plug it in......The car would run like absolute CRAP....But better than it does now that'* for sure. I plugged it back in this evening and there wasn't a change.
Thanks,
Nate

What kind of scan tool did you get to barrow? Your car has the OBD2 connecter but still has the OBD1 PCM. A standard scan tool for an OBD@, although it will hook up, cannot scan your system. I may be willing to come down to your neck of the woods, but I doubt Saturday would work for me then. Sunday may still be available.

Scan tool that I borrowed was an Auto Xray 1 I think. Which I have used on the car a few times before. Don't worry about saturday, that'* gonna be a bad day for drivability testing because I have to put in new CV shafts. And that'* gonna take a while. Plus it'* me and the G/F'* annieversry, so if I'm not done by 5 pm saturday I'm going to get my arse beat all over god'* creation. Sunday I have nothin happening. Can you scan the A/C and Suspension systems too? Or just the ECM?
Thanks Alot Guys

Well from the sound of it Zais will be meeting up with you this weekend? I'm talkin to him on AIM right now....So maybe we could all get together and brainstorm something. If I can't get it to drive better than it'll have to be here....I have a top speed of about 35 mph and it'* all freeway to crystal. I'll keep ya posted. How durable are the PCM'* in these cars? I'm also pondering that it'* dying or dead. But plugs fuel filter and wires (maybe) tonight.

Good news, it was the coil packs i swaped in monday night that was the culprit in all this. I put the old ones back in and got my baby back. I flushed the cooling system today, and for some reason the stutter is gone? Any ideas on what the coolant might have to do with the mid-rpm range stuttering was under 1/2 throttle acceleration?
Thanks,
Nate

I dunno. I'm still getting a random QDM 1 failure code, whatever that means??? Any ideas??? And two others intake air temp code and a System Bank 1 lean code (O2 sensor) which I picked one up yesterday. So that'll be a fun project to do. Any one around here have a special socket that can be used on that? I have seen one before but don't know where to get them. I don't know if your laptop scanner can go more in depth about the QDM 1 Failure code, or how detailed you can read the PCM. Also which terminals do I need to ground out the flash the suspension codes? A picture or good description would be nice if you could find one or gimme one??
