You might want to get rid of Mitchell...

Not sure I follow; Mitchell clearly showed spec for the input from KSs to be 1.2V, and I was at 4.55 with the '96-up sensors, then I was at like 2.3 when I swapped in a '94 sensor at the front location. So they were right on, and so was I; I just couldn't get the cheap sensors off at Pick N' Pull last week. So in this particular case, the ruling on the scanner: VERY OVERRATED.

Then I misread your last post about 2.5 volts. My bad. At least you have a troubleshooting tree from the proper source to follow.
If you need more scans, let me know. I'm off for the next 10 days.

Thanks for all of the awesome help, guys. You have always responded very quickly with great info.
Yeah, I believe the 2.5V is the max voltage after the sensors knock the 5V reference down, and my sensor was at like 2.3V. I think I'll try a resistor or potentiometer in the circuit and see if the light goes out. I can backprobe at the PCM to see the voltage, then when it passes smog I'll go after the sensors. I haven't exhausted all of the junk '95 Bonnies yet.

GOT THE CEL OUT AND PASSED CALIFORNIA EMISSIONS TODAY...Tomorrow and Wed I can go look at some wrecked '95s that I haven't seen yet, and can now score the grill and hood release and perhaps 1 fog light...looking closer at those fog lights, I'm not sure those are stock. Did the non-SEs have them, or did they have delete block-off? They almost look too small, like somebody added them.
I really want to thank Mike and Justin for all of the awesome and prompt help. Once I cash out on this, I'll swing a couple of bucks to the site.
Looking at my posts re: knock sensors, I wasn't very clear. On '95s the 5V signal gets knocked down to like 2.5 by the sensor no matter what, but then must also be between .80 and 2.00 or the light comes on. Initially I was below that range, since both sensors were disconnected due to them being wrong for '95 and hence the connectors did not match up. Later, I was above 2V so the light was on again...still...whatever. It'* out now.
I'll advise progress on the finishing touch parts for the car. Thanks guys,

good to hear. i think the sse, sle, and ssei would have factory fogs but would be optional on all. but it may have aftermarket. the last two or three cars i have had didnt have them but i added them later, much lower cost and better looking, better performing, etc.. the factory ones arent all that bright, the aftermarket ones you can get brighter bulbs for without melting it and i like to aim them out a little for earlier deer detection

Yea, my 95 SE came with them from the factory also.

Looked at 4 more wrecked Bonnies. My grill has broke off section in it. Got so excited when one of the wrecks had the chrome piece with the grill, first time I had even seen any with that including mine, that I failed to notice that the grill appears to be one piece with the surrounding area, and that area is THE COLOR OF THE CAR IT IS ON...in this case BLUE...my car ain't blue...duh. I will go back and pay attention to the color on the other ones that had good grills, and maybe I get lucky. I have 30 days to swap. The chrome piece will come off although I didn't want to mess with that unless necessary.
Parts be half off starting Thursday so I'll come back and get knock sensors, fog lights (which I also saw today), hood release cable, etc.
