Grille
In 2003 I exchanged bumper covers on my 92 SE to a bumper cover from a 93 SSE. When I closed the hood, it wouldn't lock because the grille was hitting the bumper. I then started to shave some of the bumper padding and was able to get it locked. My grille then sunk a bit below the bumper cover. In my opinion the grilles have a different height, but should be able to alter to allow a closed hood.

I think as a group, we are coming to a general consensus that the 92-95 SSE/i grilles are not compatible with a 95 SE. There has been some very good points brought up in this thread and I applaud those that have "stuck to their guns". No arguements, just facts. Here is the proof that you are all looking for (The top of the green SSEi grille is broken):
I now know, after further research, that my statements earlier in the thread are incorrect. I appoligize for the bad information.

I think the problem is that the upper half of the grille is screwed to the underside of the hood lip in three places: left, right and center, along with a snap-in locating pin near the center bolt. The center of the grille is just a little higher than it should be, or else its outer bolt mounting ears are a little lower than they should be, so when the outer corners are bolted up to the hood, they're pulled upwards slightly when the bolts are seated. That stress eventually cracks the grille at its outer, lower corners, just below the mounting bolts.
If I ever manage to track down an accurate part number for a '93 SSEi grille in white (or find a decent used one), I'm going to shim the two outer bolts with a small washer between the grille and hood, so the lower half of the grille isn't stretched upwards as much when the bolts are tightened.

This is fully researched and backed up. 92-95 SSE/SSEi grilles WILL work, as well as 94/95 SE grilles, and all these will look IDENTICAL and work perfectly.
*not in a angry tone*
the grilles are not different as I have said before the SSEi and the SE will not interchange, and are totally different as the pics shows

EDIT: Bloody quotes. Bloody people who don't know how to use quotes.

2) I've been in contact with the seller myself, and it does indeed have the same stress crack.
3) http://www.gmpartsdirect.com will sell you a new one for 88 bucks, so don't get carried away trying to snag this one.
Actually, speaking as an eBay seller myself: sit on your hands until the auction is close to ending. You gain nothing by bidding now except to drive the price up and draw others' attention to the auction.
