I will try that soon. I had to get the piece of crap out of the garage for x-mas. It will hopefully be back in there before the end of the week.
Thanks for the suggestion .

I have had a on again off again problem with my 96 lately. Today I checked the coils which check ok and changed the fuel filter. Found the inside of the fuel filter was loose and moving around. Have not driven it yet but hoping the filter will be my answer. Don't know if this will help you but like others have said it'* worth a try.
Good luke.

It seems you are saying that you aren't sure whether you have the correct oxygen sensor on it.

U mentioned that u checked many things and seam to work fine but ur plugs smelled fuelly. U also mention that if u force it to work later in rpm range it'll drive as it should. Can I suggest camshaft position sensor and it'* pick up reluctor to be checked? At times it'll make a car do those things. Also not sure if u mentioned or not, how'* ur vaccum doing?

I took the car to the doctor, and found out I had 2 bad coil packs as well as two wires with "high resistance". I fixed that with a few new coils and new plug wires. I also believe my UIM was improperly torqued, so I tightened that down as well.
The car runs nice now, but I have a transmission problem.
I have that in another thread I will be posting to in a moment if anyone is interested.

Hi Last Nerve,
I hope you have it fixed by now but in case not, you might want to pull your EGR valve. I have a 1995 Bonneville and had a somewhat similar problem except mine would just stop and loose power to everything. I'd wait a couple minutes and it would work again. I pulled the EGR valve and found carbon build up was keeping the valve from opening up fully. It'* an easy fix with just scraping away the carbon. Or replace it for about $150.00. Good luck.
