First thanks Ted for the help with the acronyms. Last time I wrenched the HEI and the $20 Control module was all I had to worry about.
Ok turned key on/off several times to pressurize fuel rail. Pushed valve and gas came out under pressure (not much gas or pressure)
Started car and let it die, depressed valve and no measurable gas came out.
I notice there are 2 different fuel pumps for my car. One is for CAC and 1 is CRC (stamped on sender)
The CRC one is for 94-99 BVilles
the CAC is 93-94
Since my car was MFG in 01/94 do you think I have a better chance ordering the CAC pump?

I hate to see you buy a fuel pump without 1st checking the pressure with a gauge.
Let'* do another quick test. After the engine stalls pull off the vacuum line that goes to the fuel pressure regulator & see if there'* any fuel in the line.

good idea Will. I am just gonna have to try and get under the car tomorrow and remove the tank and the filter.
Ted: pulled the vac hose off the pressure reg. and fuel in line. After it dies no pressure and no volume of gas exits the schrader valve when depressed.
It seems to be getting worse, now it only runs for a sec or 2.

My oil pressure is reading fine (so i am thinking the oil pressure switch isant shutting off the fuel pump) so I am going out to drop the tank.
If it turns out to be the pump anyone have any recommendaitons on a replacement? My options are
Master
Carter
Bosch
GM
external (worth the trouble?)
How about the Fuel filter
Fram
Purolater
Wix (my personal favorite)

Hang on - I misread previous post. If you’re getting fuel in the vacuum line to the fuel pressure regulator than that'* what needs to be changed.

Hey Ted, sorry sometimes I have a hard time explaining stuff. No there is no fuel in the vac line.
After the car dies I depress the schrader valve on the fuel rail and no gas comes out
