I have an Actron 9110 that works fine with my '95. I made my own cable from a readily available, cheap cable from actron by cutting and splicing. Instructions are here: http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ic.php?t=40310

Aye she'* got a 16-pin connector but its still the old OBD1 computer for 94 and 95? Or maybe Bonnie'* were an exception? I know LT1s for Vettes and f-bodies were because that was a new motor they were going to use awhile and OBD2 was mandated by '96. Worth a try? Lets do it this way, they might not have to buy that scanner at all.
Find the 16-pin connector under dash, drivers side. JammieM, which pinout do you have? X denotes unused terminals.

If its the 1st, her ECM can be definitely read by just jumping 5 (ground) and 6 (test)
If its not any of these show me the pinout and I'll try to figure it out for you. Your car is a '94 so its probably a 90% chance its OBD1. Between 94 and 96 there is no such thing as a "standard" connector for the ECM/PCM. Damn GM. Damn acronyms.

Its OBD1 with the OBD2 connector. They said something about it being a OBD1.5 if that makes since. We had bought a OBD2 reader the connector hooked up but the coder reader displayed. "No Link" We tried the "key" form an the car will not take the key. I'll look at the pin later today im tired of looking at that car. :(
My husband said hes pretty sure its in the fuel system. Even tho we have replaced almost all the fuel system crap. It starts like crap but once it gets started an you get it up past 40 it seems to do fine its the low speeds it runs like crap. Plus its still dying out I would say for no reason but there has to be a reason.

They cant I have done tried that route. We are just going to get the scanner that way we have it if we have this problem again. We are hoping an praying even though it probably will not work. That we just need to clear the codes from the board. And unhooking the battery is not working. But if it dont work that way we will atleast know around abouts on what to do next.

somebody help me out here... I had a similar problem with my wifes old car. It had a crank sensor. (not sure if that is what is called or if the car we are talking about has the same thing) The thing that told the computer when to fire the spark. (located behind the harmonic balancer.) It would do the same type stuff with the hard and no starting. and it was a realatively cheap part.
