'93 Bonne, cranks but not start
Hi everyone, I'm a new member. I came across this site googling around for clues to fix my issue.
I have a 93 Bonne, not supercharged, that will crank over but not start. Did the normal tests, checked fuses under the hood and under the dash, they're all good. I don't have a fuel line pressure tester but I can hear the pump runs and the fuel rail seems to be charging up. Tried the turn to run for 3 seconds and off 3 times then start. Pulled a couple of wires off and looked for spark, it looks good as well. Pulled a couple of plugs out and they look good and not fouled.
I'm at a loss here, I got spark, I reasonably sure that there'* gas getting sprayed in, but all it does is crank over. No sputters no stutters just cranking. Any further things I should check?
Thanks

Being a 93, your rotors in the supercharger have no coating. And if I recall properly you don't have a vaccum port in the LIM. If you do, please use it instead of what I'm about to suggest.
On top of your SC is a vacuum block. Unhook one of the smaller lines and spray a little brake cleaner in while someone cranks over the motor. There'* a fine line where you can mist a little more to keep it running. Either way, this is a "do I have fuel" test.
If the car won't run, then you likely don't have spark.
The reason for mentioning the supercharger coating is because if your year had coating you would not want to use a chemical like brake cleaner and have it remove coating from the rotors. I have been there and done that... it'* no fun. In 93 tho...there is no coating.

Ok, Elvis must have left the building.
While someone is cranking, you could squirt just a TAD of either into the intake. If your ignition is working, your engine should run for a little bit. Let us know how that worked.

Doh, didn't pay attention to if the plugs were wet the first time around.
Just went out and gave it a couple of good 6 second cranks and pulled the front plugs, they were dry as a bone. So I guess I can change my statement to I'm no longer sure that gas is reaching the cylinders. Since I can hear the pump and when I manipulate the schrader valve fuel will spurt out, so the fuel rail appears to be charged, although with out a tester I can't verify that there'* sufficient pressure. With the plugs being bone dry, would it be a wrong assumption to believe that the injectors are not operating?
As I mentioned the fuses all look good. Is there a relay for the injectors? I see a number of them under the hood but I'm not sure which is which.

Check the fuse block on the passenger side kick panel. Look for fuse #7 10amp. It'* your fuel injector fuse.
No relay. Injectors are controlled by the PCM.

As suggested I used some ether and it would sputter and kick and want to run. Also per your suggestion I double checked that fuse on the right hand side. Visually it looked good, but since I have a spare I decided to put it in for fun. Well, it fired right up and ran. I let it run for about 60 seconds or so. Everything seem good, even idle and such. Shut it down, buttoned up the fuse panel under the hood and put the intake elbow back on. Tried to start it again.... no joy. :( Changed the fuse out again (still looked good) still wouldn't fire up. Tested the fuses on a meter, they all tested good.
This is now bordering on annoying. :/ So, bad ground on the pcm or injector harness maybe?

Something popped that injector fuse. But WHAT? Unless it was of old age??
You replaced it, it ran fine.
You shut it down, buttoned down the hatches and don't get a restart, but fuse is still good.
Hmmm. I'm wondering if monkeying in the engine bay did something. Not enough to pop the fuse, but enough to prevent running the engine.
Retrace your steps, check the wiring harness from your injectors to your firewall.

Hwy Elvis Jr.. he said the fuse was fine.
With the fuse in place and the key on. Test for power at the fuel injector connectors. If you have power, then it'* the pcm not toggling the ground that is causing you not to have fuel.
BTW.. I was on the side of the road and swore I had fuel because of the same reasons you did. That tuaght me never to trust fuel at the rail mean that fuel was also flowing past the injectors.
