the harneses are slightly different. but his 93 will only have extras. so no modding needed. except for one possible difference i can think of. that is the trans connector. the 92 and 93 have the same pin-outs, but iirc, the 93 trans has little notches. very minor problem.

Just swap the 93 motor, trans, wiring harness, and PCM into the 92 Body and you should be fine. you might possibly have to change the dash harness, but I would venture to guess no.
If you don't use the 92 parts, there will be no need to worry about the Harmonic balancer/PROM/Crank Sensor, etc.
If you were looking to mix and match parts, that'* where the issues arise.

in my p/a, theschematic listed many unused pins for the pcm. well, all the harness wires from the firewall to the pcm were there. i cant say for certain, but i would bet the bonne to be the same case. if that is the case, all you would have to do is just unplug the harness from the firewall of the 93, and plug it in the the firewall of the 92. then just swap the pcm with prom, and ur good.
as jimmy said, if you try to mix match parts, thats when problems may arise.

Wasn't planning on mixing and matching the parts, just swapping the whole drivetrain from one to the other. So it should be no problem with bolting right up then swapping the harness and PCM from the 93 into the 92?

Not a swap but a friend and I dropped a new block into his Honda Civic. Thats about the extent of it. Anyway this threads dead since the car might possibly sold very soon and replaced with a green and gold laced rim bonne.
