92 ssei engine removal
Hey guys,
Im in the middle of removing an engine from a 92 ssei, i removed the starter, torque converter bolts, the 4 bell housing bolts, and the passenger engine to chassis mount.
The tranny is supported, i got the cherry picker hooked up but it keeps lifting the tranny as well when i try to lift the engine... Are there more bolts holding on? I've looked but havent found any...
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

i havent done that engine but others have talked about the bolt in the back that you need a bunch of extensions to remove. have you found it?

Have you actually split the trans/engine yet? There are locating pins between the engine and transmission to keep them lined up correctly.

Yes, you need to work a pry bar in between the engine and transmission to split them in half. Usually its corrosion on the pins that hold them together.
I can't even find a remotely close video on youtube that would show it.

There are 5 bolts not 4. The bolt between the block and transmission bolts opposite of the other 4 bolts meaning it screws into the transmission case. You need about a 3 foot extension to get to it snaking it between the oil filter housing and along the back side of the block.
