So the BCA seems fine to me, and there are no vac leaks as far as i can tell. So you guys are right; i've got a faulty BCS most likely. But at $50 is there anything i can do to fix it myself or make sure that is the problem?

At one point in time I remember reading about a BCA or BCS bypass I can’t remember what it was for tho. But I seem to remember I had to take the vacuum hose from the BCS to the BCA and just have it loop back to the BCS where the foam filter is(was). Is this right and would it help me any in my diagnostics project?

Matt lives in your neck of the woods, but ALAS! He has no scantool. YET. But he'd be a good resource for some seat-of-the-pants troubleshooting.

Was this condition ever resolved? I have the same condition. I picked the car up real cheap because the owner didn't want too have it fixed. As soon as boost gauge goes past 0 the engine breaks up. Hard to tell if it is fuel or spark related. I have a code 13 & 55 that I will check out tomorrow. Any common problems with the EGR systems in these vehicles?
