92 Bonneville cuts out on hills
Has anybody had a problem with a Bonneville cutting out when the can is sideways on a hill (diver side faceing up side of hill) and also tries to cut-out and no acceleration while going around a right hand curve.(ie getting off the interstate on a exit that curves up hill) Is this a fuel pump problem? Any suggestions?
Thanks

If I remember right, there are baffles in the tank that prevent the gas from moving around easy on hills and turns. They may no longer be doing their job and the gas is moving away from the pick up. Replace the tank or keep it half full or better.

Just like Dan said...it was mostly a common issue on 92-93'* from what I heard. But it comes down to old plastic baffles breaking. This allows the fuel to move too much and the pump has no fuel to pump.

Agreed, the same issue here as well. The only solution as mentioned above is replacement. Mine is starting to get fussy even at 5/8 of a tank now.
Gonna save dropping the tank for when I really need to.
