It would have to be cut on that short section of steel, not the longer one, it'* the short one that comes out from under the trans. As you can see, it does a 90 degree and then there'* maybe an inch to the fitting?

If you cut it right at the fitting, you might be able to slip a piece of hose on to go past that last bend. Put one clamp on near the end where the fitting was, and another around the bend where the rubber line ends at.

I'm wondering if the kit has the fitting to go directly into the transmission... Take a look tell me what you think. Link is on first page.

Other thought I had was to cut the rubber hose before it goes back to steel and just join that with an adapter to the new hose.

Little update, install is complete. I mounted the cooler infront of the condenser with the included brackets. one hooked to the airbag sensor bolt, then another a few inches away drilled a screw in. Routed the cooler lines through the headlamp area into the engine bay, cut the existing cooler lines on the rubber close to where it went back to metal towards the radiator, used hose barb to mate. Was near 90 today, drove around a while with no issue at all. Problem seems solved!
