Well, my question is, how did you get it out to begin with? It goes back in the same way(actually, you could put them back in any number of ways if you wanted)as it came out.

But sure, be more than happy to help ya out. Danthur'* and I have more 3800/trans pulls then we would like to admit.

the tranny was actually easy once the engine was out, 6 nuts under the subframe, and one bolt through the dogbone, if I recall correctly.

I have to admit that I didn't actually pull the motor. A friend of mine (a mechanic) did about 3 years ago in 2009 and I never saw him do it. He ended up moving to Seattle before we could work on it...so working backwards pretty much means brand new experience for me heh

Oh, well, your in good hands then. I've done engine/trans swaps on my 95 Bonneville and my 97. Dan owns a 97 and has done a few on different platforms. I did a Buick Park Ave once.

Then you have the rare 4T60-E-HD transmission along with a very RARE customer ordered SE. You know those rare cars you see on auction sites that go for mucho money? Yours could be that too if you take care of her for the next 20 years.

Mike you flatter me. Somehow I doubt a late 90s custom ordered Bonneville with >200k miles is going to be on some collector'* wishlist 20 years from now lol.

With as much money as I put into the engine I'll be lucky if I get $1500 if I sell it all together. That'* why I think I'm going to enjoy a few years of this. Once I'm bored I think I'll pull the motor and put an NA motor in it and sell it, we're talking 5-10 years from now. Actually I have running one from a 2000 camaro sitting in the garage, prepared for this very project--paid only $100 for it!
