Default 1994 Bonneville shudders when driving/changing gears??

When I'm driving my way along...the car sometimes shudders and jerks..I have to take my foot off the gas and then accelerate or press the gas pedal firmly to make it stop "shuddering"...anyone can point me in the right direction?? sensors?? transmission??

Give your front trans mount a good look over. I've seen a few of these cause bad shudders on the shift.

thanks, another quick question if you dont mind..my indicator switch broke inside..theres a little black metal piece that i can still move to indicate but the arm is kinda just hanging there...the part alone is over $200..i was told by my mechanic that it would be easier( go figure) and cheaper to replace the entire steering column...is this true??
not to mention i got quoted over $200 for the steering clolumn alone (not installed) ..is there an easy way to fix this??

Ouch. Try going to www.rockauto.com and find the part you need. The prices there are the best around. I seem to remember Toddster had to change that and I thought it was like $40. He can answer that much better then I can.
