1994 Bonneville Issue
Recently on my 1994 Bonneville the check engine light has been coming on. I bought a GM OBD I reader only to find that my car actually had an OBD II connector, so after this I went out and got an OBD II reader, and it failed to work.. What reader works with this car? I know it'* a hybrid between ODB I and ODB II so what reader plugs into OBD II but reads OBD I codes? Would a place like lordco or napa have one?

Hey man. I also have the 1994 with this goofy setup. I usually go to Advanced Auto and use their code reader. I do believe that it is an Acron. This reader doesn't work either if you don't punch in the year, make and model before you read the codes.
You did have the key in the on position correct? (Just making sure)
Someone told me that you have to have the external power source plugged in for it to work too. (the cigarette plug cord)
I wish you luck!

The best scanner for the 94/95 hybrid PCM'* is the Actron CP9110. Get it from Ebay, and Slug (member here) will make the cable you need.
The CP9110 will read enhanced data including KR.
