couldn't i just splice that to the power wire on alt that leads to battery? its alot closer or am i bypassing that aswell?

Your bypassing that as well. We need to show the alternator what the TRUE voltage is AT the battery. If you don't notice a change in your system voltage after the added wire, I'm stuck then.

That LITTLE wire from the alternator, goes to the PCM, then to the ignition switch. If the starter is turning the engine over with little effort(meaning you can start the engine in less than 2 seconds) then don't worry about the starter right now.

sticky kinda just different then any other gm i have owned no problems just resistance when inserting the key

Red face bypass

ran the test wire it seemed to stop the surging but when i disconnected it and hooked it up normal it was dead just kept clicking ran fine i ran it with headlights and heat on to get the load up during test but now dead i let it run with heat and headlights off while i discod the test wire
