1993 ssei supercharger sputter
hey, i have a 1993 bonneville ssei, it has 165k on it, original supercharger, but i have noticed since i got the car from my dad back in june of 08, when i give the car full boost it sputters horribly and the car goes no where, but when i give it half boost, aka 0 pounds instead of -10, it runs just fine, but when i give it more and it hits about 5 pounds thats when it starts sputtering, then i back it down to half boost it goes back to normal, then in the same motion, never backing off the throttle give it 5 to 10 pounds of boost it start sputtering again. changed the plugs, running premium name brand gas, put in fuel injector cleaner, and cant figure out what the problem it, any advice will help, not a serious problem but i just want to make sure my poor baby wont blow up, o and so i can do a little racing on the side haha, thanks

could also be your BCS/BCA Boost control Actuator
There is a way to test if it'* bad...I'll have to do some digging.
The small device with the electrical connector is the BCS (boost control solenoid). It should have 1 vacuum line going to the base of the BCA (boost control actuator) and the other left open or with a small piece of foam pushed into the clip.
The larger canister it'* mounted to is the BCA (actuator). It has 2 vacuum lines. One to the BCS, and one to the vacuum manifold on the supercharger.
In short though I think from what I remember you just unplug one of the vacuum lines going to the boost control actuator and this will give you full boost. If that works than likely thats what it is.
But be forewarned when you unplug that vacuum line you will have FULL boost so try not to go over half throttle.
Checking.....
ok found little help here:
If you pull the bottom tube off the BCA and boost returns to normal, it'* ths BSC or the PCM telling it to dump boost. Scan it. If boost doesn't come back, look for vacuum leaks in or leading up to the BCA.
So do you have a engine light on right now?

ok just reiterate:

Never feel you are burdening us with questions and requests. It'* all part of helping members help themselves. This way some day a newer member will come to you and you'll be able to help them.

I know with mine... a 94 but close enough... when the solenoid went out i just lost boost... dropped at WOT (wide open throttle) to 2-3 lbs boost, replaced it and got boost back, but was still stuttering
replaced the plugs AND wires and the fuel filter and it ran fine after that
could be a different fix but still might be a thought
