When you are driving 60 mph at 2500 rpm, move the shift lever down into 3rd gear. If the revs don't increase you weren't in OD, you were in 3rd. If the revs increase (500 rpm?) your OD was working.

If your speedometer is working, the VSS is fine.

That is a speedo cluster issue.

Hi All I went to Pick A Part today and found 2 , 92 and 93 or 94 ? Bonnevilles .One I'm sure had the square
coils and the other one had the Delco coils,( three round coils) is this correct. Did this year of tranny have the same trans. modualator. Or do I need to get one from a 87to 91 Bonney. I saw a post on the coils and it said one setup used one less wire will they still work in either year. Thanks duncan

The modulator should work from any of them. If fluid comes out of where the vacuum line connects, it'* bad.

Thanks for the reply Does the tranny modulator have anything to do with shifting into lockup.

The short answer is that the modulator regulates line pressure for shift feel.

Thanks for the reply I am getting a code34 MAF how do I fix that. The more I drive our car I think it is shifting into 4th but not into lockup will it hurt the tranny to drive it this way without going into lockup.
